The Greenbrier High School Athletic Hall of Fame maintains biographies, team profiles, photographs, induction classes and state-championship references. VOTC links back to the Hall rather than recreating those profiles wholesale.

Final scores stay under VOTC's score-source policy: TSSAA first when available; otherwise the strongest game/season source. A biography does not override a better score source.
Record notes matter
The Hall is valuable, but it is not treated as error-proof. For 1968, Jerry Pearson's Hall biography describes the Crockett Bowl as a win. Greenbrier's score record and the independent Tennessee bowl record both record Hickman County 19, Greenbrier 6, so VOTC publishes the loss while still using the Hall biography for Pearson's career context.
The 1960–61 team page also prints the 1960 Jo Byrns score as 40–7, but the Hall's own two-season total of 651 points matches Greenbrier's 46–7 listed value, not 40–7. VOTC keeps 46–7 pending a contemporary game source.

Help both collections improve
The Hall of Fame site explicitly asks visitors to submit corrections, additional information and photographs. That makes it a natural companion to VOTC's own preservation work: when one collection helps identify something in the other, both histories get stronger.

The oldest team listed among Hall inductees is the 1929–30 boys basketball team. Its Hall story and TSSAA's surviving tournament record now form a full VOTC feature, paired with the 1983–84 team that returned Greenbrier to the state tournament 54 years later.
