Three sports, then college
Renee graduated from Greenbrier in 1980 after playing basketball, volleyball and softball. Her Hall biography places her on the first GHS volleyball team and the 1978 county-championship softball squad.
UT Martin’s 2019 volleyball media guide independently lists Renee Dorris in its all-time roster for 1980–83. The Hall also records a college basketball career there; that second sport still needs its own college roster source.
The player became the coach
The Hall credits Renee with leading Greenbrier’s volleyball teams to the 2007 and 2008 state championships. TSSAA confirms both titles: the Lady Cats defeated Anderson County in the 2007 championship match and Boyd Buchanan in the 2008 final, each by three sets to none.
Her Hall biography also records coaching work in wrestling and cross country. Those are historical career notes; the biography’s present-tense wording is not used here to establish a current coaching assignment.
