Three sports and three captaincies
A 1982 graduate, Beth played basketball, volleyball and softball. The Hall identifies her as a senior captain and team MVP in each sport. Her basketball honors also included All-District and All-Region selections.
She was a sophomore on the 1979–80 basketball team. The Hall records her selection for a Memphis US Volleyball Association Junior Olympic team in 1981.
Following the college trail
The Hall says Beth earned a four-year scholarship to an SEC university, without naming the school. Ole Miss Athletics supplies a matching college entry: its volleyball letterwinner register lists Beth Bellar for 1982–83.
That match supports the college volleyball connection. It does not independently establish the Hall’s “first GHS athlete” scholarship claim or a complete four-year playing history.
