VOTC Live app
VOTC Live app privacy policy
Effective: October 18, 2026
The VOTC Live app is published by Greenbrier Athletic Club, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Greenbrier, Tennessee.
No ads. No tracking. No accounts.
The app has no sign-in, no advertising and no analytics. We never ask for your name, email, location or contacts.
What stays on your phone.
Your teams, your settings (like text size and reminders) and your alerts inbox are saved only on your phone. Game reminders are scheduled by your phone itself; we never receive them.
What the club's server keeps, only if you turn alerts on.
To send game alerts (like "FINAL: Greenbrier 28, Springfield 21"), our server keeps three things for your phone:
- a random id the app made up for this phone (it isn't tied to you or your phone number);
- the phone's alert address (a "push token" from Apple or Google), and whether it's an iPhone or Android;
- which alerts you turned on, for example "Varsity Football: live and final scores".
That's all. Alerts are delivered through Expo's push service, which hands them to Apple or Google to reach your phone. The record is stored in Google Firebase in the United States. Turn alerts off in the app and the server deletes this phone's record. If you delete the app instead, the server removes the record the next time an alert can't be delivered to that phone.
Emails you send us.
If you use REPORT A PROBLEM WITH THE APP, your email app opens with the app's version, your phone's system version and the first 8 characters of the random id filled in, so we can find the problem. Nothing is sent unless you send the email, and you can delete those lines first.
Content from other services.
To show schedules, scores, news and videos, the app loads content from votclive.com, YouTube, Google Sheets and Google Firebase. When you listen live, audio streams from our broadcast host. Buttons that say "Opens GoFan", "Opens YouTube", "Opens Maps" and similar take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies. Like any website, these services receive standard request information such as your IP address and device type.
Children.
We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes.
If the app ever starts keeping anything else, we'll update this page first.
