19–0 before the tournament road
The Greenbrier Athletic Hall of Fame records the 1962–63 Lady Cats at a perfect 19–0 in the regular season. District 20 contained 13 schools with no enrollment classification, and Greenbrier won the district tournament before advancing to the Region 5 tournament at David Lipscomb College.
Region 5
Greenbrier drew Waverly, the representative from District 19, in its first Region 5 game. The Hall says Waverly ended Greenbrier's season and later advanced to the state tournament.
TSSAA's championship history does not list Greenbrier as a 1963 state-tournament participant. This room therefore treats the district title and regional berth as the team's verified postseason endpoint.
The Hall preserves the roster
The Hall team page names the full group and identifies two players who later entered the Greenbrier Athletic Hall of Fame individually: Janie Hall Wall and Carol Feldkircher Cloer.
