Greenbrier record
Two All-District seasons and an offensive co-MVP
Elder’s Hall profile says he played football and baseball, earned All-District 8-AA recognition twice and shared Greenbrier’s offensive MVP honor. The school honors record adds All-State honorable mention and third-team All-Mid-State in 1981.
1980–1981
One hundred yards against DeKalb, touchdowns throughout the unbeaten run
The DeKalb account credits Elder with 100 yards on 20 carries and two touchdowns. In 1981 he scored against BGA, Cheatham and Beech, and his 70-yard run was part of the Macon shutout.
Beyond the field
The first Fellowship of Christian Athletes meeting
The Hall profile also credits Elder with organizing Greenbrier’s first Fellowship of Christian Athletes meeting, a piece of school leadership that sits beside the football honors.
