Four surviving wins — and one unanswered line
Greenbrier's surviving score record has no team in 1944 or 1945. Football returns in 1946 with four documented victories: Coopertown 19–12, Cross Plains 25–6, Cedar Hill 25–8 and Cross Plains 27–6. A fifth opponent, Adams, survives in the older record without a final score.
Jimmy Suter takes over
Greenbrier's head-coach records lists Jimmy Suter from 1946 through 1951. The Hall of Fame inducted Suter in 2005, connecting the postwar restart to the school's broader athletic history.
