Three early losses, three straight shutouts
Bellevue, Joelton and White House put Greenbrier at 0–3 and 43–97. The next four games completely changed the season: wins over Glencliff Academy, Jo Byrns, East Robertson and Tennessee Youth Center totaled 140–14.
The first three wins in that run were shutouts. Brentwood Academy then won 62–0, Greenbrier answered with a 44–28 victory over Ashland City, and Gordonsville closed the season 20–12.
Greenbrier’s rushing register credits Bob Hobson with five 100-yard games totaling 672 listed yards. The outside schedule differs on one shutout, one opponent name and Owsley’s tenure.
