Five losses, then four wins in five
Greenbrier opened 0–5 and 26–165 against Waverly, Bellevue, Centerville, White House and Hartsville. Three straight wins reversed the direction of the season.
The Bobcats edged Lafayette 8–7, beat Jo Byrns 32–6 and shut out Mt. Juliet 8–0. Portland won 18–0, but Greenbrier closed with a 21–14 victory over Ashland City.
That final five-game block was 4–1 and 69–45. The correct full-season record is 4–6—not the older 8–3 listing that once appeared in public copy.
