The first football file gets a roster and its missing score-list entry
The Nashville Banner documents a 13–6 home loss to Bell on October 1 and a 68–0 loss at Sumner High in Portland on October 8. Those two scored games total six points for and 81 against.
The original all-time score PDF separately gives 1927 a 1–1 heading and prints a Bell win plus a Bell loss, both without scores. The newspaper account identifies and scores the loss; the second Bell win is included as a score-list entry. Combining that source line with the Portland report yields three retained entries, not a claim of a complete original schedule.
A Village Green page captioned “Football Team of 1927–28” supplies eleven full names and positions, turning the earliest season from two scores into a people-centered record.
