GAME STORY / CONTEXT

2004 vs. Marshall Co.

Greenbrier clinched a second consecutive Region 5-3A championship with a 23–13 win over Marshall County. The game story credits Roger Herndon with 191 rushing yards, notes Cameron Armes’ one-handed interception, and captures the strange scoring play born from a muffed field-goal snap that Herndon turned into a touchdown.

Greenbrier beat McNairy Central 36–14 in Round 1 and then delivered the postseason’s most lopsided result, a 35–0 shutout of Marshall County . Herndon scored three rushing touchdowns and added a receiving touchdown in the rematch.
