Greenbrier football record

Four straight wins, then a playoff race to the final weeks

5–5

BGA won the opener 14–7 despite Todd Apple’s touchdown pass to Timmy Williamson. Greenbrier answered with four wins, including a defensive 14–7 result over Cheatham and a 50-point night against Macon.

White House stopped the streak, but a 21–6 win over DeKalb moved Greenbrier to 5–2. Contemporary coverage framed the next game against Beech as the pivot in the District 8-AA playoff race.

Beech won 36–0. Goodpasture and Portland completed a three-loss finish, 27–84, leaving Greenbrier 5–5 and five points ahead across the full schedule.
