District champions and a first trip to the playoffs
Greenbrier opened 6–0, outscoring Waverly, Lafayette, Centerville, Goodlettsville, David Lipscomb and White House 146–44. The stretch included consecutive shutouts and a 47–19 rivalry win.
Brentwood Academy stopped the streak on a wet night. Greenbrier answered with 42 points against Portland, then split the final two regular-season games to finish 8–2 and claim District 8-AA.
The first TSSAA playoff game in program history came November 11. Trousdale County won 22–0. The official bracket places it in the opening round, resolving a conflict with an outside schedule that labels it the second round.
