Howse begins with seven wins
Blue Howse inherited a team coming off the 10–0 Lower Cumberland Valley title and won his first four listed games. Smyrna fell 7–6, then Hendersonville, Jo Byrns and Jackson County were shut out. The opening run totaled 59–6.
Charlotte ended that start 25–14. Greenbrier answered with wins over White Bluff and White House—the latter another one-point finish—before a 34–7 Ashland City loss. A 27–6 win over East Robertson closed the file.
The seven wins combined to 120–38; the two losses combined to 21–59. Even with both defeats decided by double digits, Howse’s first season kept Greenbrier immediately in the winning column.
