Every win a shutout
Hubert Smothers moved from Jimmy Suter’s staff—where the coaching register lists him from 1949 through 1951—to the head-coaching line in 1952. His only listed season ended 3–5.
The wins could not have been cleaner on the scoreboard: White House 7–0, White Bluff 50–0 and East Robertson 19–0. Together they produced 76 points for Greenbrier and none for the opposition.
The losses were nearly the mirror image. Greenbrier scored only six total points in five defeats and was shut out four times. That sharp split—76–0 in wins, 6–131 in losses—is the defining shape of the season.
