Football in wartime
The printed 0–2–1 heading reconciles to the three scored entries: a 20–20 tie with Cross Plains, a 47–22 loss to Coopertown and a 28–15 loss to Adams. Those known games total 57 points for and 95 against.
Orlinda, Cedar Hill and Barren Plains are also printed beneath 1942, but each line carries question marks instead of a score or result. Those additional entries remain unresolved: they are not assumed wins, losses or ties, and contribute nothing to the known record or point totals.
The school’s wartime setting is separately documented: Greenbrier participated in the county Victory Parade, key and scrap drives, Defense Stamp and War Bond efforts, and messages to former students serving in the military. That context explains the world around the team; it does not fill any missing football result.

Identity, championship and wartime change
The 1939–45 chapter links the post-perfect-season run, the student vote that created the Bobcat identity, the 1941 county title and the wartime contraction without forcing missing scores into the story.
