Greenbrier rebounded to 6–6 in 2007 and returned to the playoffs. The Bobcats won five of their first seven, including victories over DeKalb County, Portland, Cheatham County and Sycamore.
Three straight close-to-late region losses sent Greenbrier into the postseason at 5–5, but the Bobcats answered with a 13–10 first-round win over McMinn Central.
White House ended the run 36–7 in Round 2. TSSAA’s championship history confirms both postseason results.
