Five wins, three close losses
Greenbrier opened with a 20–0 shutout of Smyrna and a 40–6 win over Dover. Jo Byrns then won 6–0, the first of three losses in which the Bobcats allowed only 41 total points.
The five wins combined to 131–18 and included a second shutout, 39–0 over White Bluff. Six of eight listed opponents scored six or fewer; Charlotte’s 23 was the season high against Greenbrier.
The external historical database’s Greenbrier view calls the Dover opponent Stewart County and inserts a second 12–6 White House win on October 10. That row is absent from Greenbrier’s score list, which prints 5–3 and one White House game. The White House view in the same database also lists only the September 26 meeting, so the October 10 row is not added to the season record.

The records do not fully agree
The historical database’s Greenbrier view ↗ inserts a second 12–6 White House win on October 10 and uses Stewart County where the school list says Dover. Its White House view ↗ lists only the September 26 meeting, matching Greenbrier’s score sheet.
One season inside a seven-year run
The seven Greenbrier recorded seasons under Howse total 52–8, 1,527–343 and 28 shutout wins. The separate coaching record prints 52–9; the source difference remains open rather than being forced into one number.
