Sixty rushing yards in Houston County and three 1989 honors
A 1988 Houston County account credits Hire with 60 yards on 12 carries and says he ran as hard as anyone had all season. He earned All-District 10-2A and All-Robertson County recognition that fall.
The 1989 preseason called him the previous season’s top tackler. The school’s postseason record then names him second-team All-Mid-State, All-District 10-2A and first-team All-Robertson County.
