38–22–1 · 1,072–768 · 18 shutouts
The years after Blue Howse began with a 2–7 reset, then produced five straight winning seasons, three Red River Valley championships and two bowl trips.
The missing ninth result
The school page’s 2–7 heading sits above only eight scores. A 28–6 loss completes the record, but Greenbrier’s opponent record calls it Joelton while the independent schedule calls it Jo Byrns. The disagreement now stays attached to the restored line.
Back-to-back championships
Doug True’s next two teams went 17–5, scored 466, allowed 187 and posted ten shutouts. The 1964 team beat White House 34–0 in the title rematch; the 1965 team started 8–0 and reached the Dickson Athletic Bowl.
Pearson’s first run
Jerry Pearson’s first three seasons totaled 19–10–1 and 522–356. The last began 7–0, won the school sheet’s 1968 Red River Valley title and ended at the Crockett Bowl in Lawrenceburg.
Hall stories deepen the championship years
Kim Parker supplies rushing, scoring and MVP context. William Pitt connects the teams to the Carroll–Pitt Trophy. Phillip Edwards gives the back-to-back champions a defensive and fullback story. Tommy Cannady and Jason White also carry important Hall wording that does not fully align with the surviving team records.
