Its 6:43 on a fall Friday night -- all across the state of Tennessee -- and that means only ONE thing --- FRIDAY NIGHT UNDER THE LIGHTS here in Robertson County!

Jim’s Homecoming opening welcomes listeners back after the White House game. The opponent is White House Heritage, but the first part of the evening belongs to the ceremony.

The court, then the contest

The script shifts from the previous week’s football result to the queen and her court, then into a preview of the Heritage passing game. It is a familiar balancing act: making room for the whole night while preparing listeners for kickoff.

Along the way, the opening thanks the Greenbrier Athletic Club and points people toward ways to follow the teams throughout the week.

The familiar time on the clock

The 6:43 opening is right there in the 2024 writing. So is the sign-off that brings the audience back to a place as much as to a program.

We’re gonna be going down to the field here momentarily for tonight’s ceremony. Stay tuned for all the action! Until then, we will see you in the Brier Patch.
