IT’S A FRIDAY NIGHT IN ROBERTSON COUNTY and it’s time for another season of Greenbrier Football!
Jim’s 2023 opening comes from Highway 76 at Springfield. Before discussing the lineups, the script makes room for the Pitt–Carroll Trophy and the memory of its namesakes.
A story told in more than one way
The notebook references a video package Kevin prepared for social media earlier in the week and calls for its audio in the broadcast. That cue shows the rivalry story moving between the live show and the wider Bobcat audience.
The trophy section is followed by football questions: what Greenbrier could build from its summer, how the offense would establish a rhythm and how both teams would replace graduating players.
The work of a new season
If anything, they output has been consistent, with the things that are working well, working very well… all the while, the things that go bad, well? Hopefully the week of practice has allowed that to shore up.
Nolan Carson, Nate Castleman, Travarius Flood, Luke Meyer, Mack Skurlock and Carsen Wood are among the Bobcats named. Jim is looking for familiar defensive contributors to make themselves heard on offense too. The permanent game page follows that opening-night outlook through the result.
