ITS FRIDAY NIGHT AND YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS! Its time for another night of Greenbrier Football!
The September 10 opening comes from Lawrenceburg. Before the Wildcats get their scouting report, Jim gives the previous week its due: a 53–0 region-opening win over Glencliff, with contributions spread across the roster.
Six names, seven touchdowns
The notebook names Peyton Hardaway twice and Dalton Wilbur, Travarius Flood, Junior Edwards, Carsen Wood and Nolan Carson once each. That is six touchdown scorers and seven touchdowns. Two safeties added another four points.
| Bobcat | Notebook detail |
|---|---|
| Peyton Hardaway | Two touchdowns |
| Dalton Wilbur | 43 yards on three carries; a touchdown |
| Kameron Grizzard | Seven carries as a freshman |
| Derek Taylor | Two catches for 48 yards; two passes broken up |
| Brogan Harden and Tyler Adams | One sack apiece |
The original uses “Travarious” and “Derick” in places; the table follows the names used in the maintained game archive. These are source-reported lines from the following week’s script, not a newly reconstructed scorebook.
Pressure and repetition
Jim credits Nathan Robinson and D.J. Jackson with a combined 19 stops, 12 tackles for loss and 10 sacks. Those are combined figures: the script does not provide an individual split. It also describes the two safeties, including one following a blocked punt.
At the final whistle, it was a great night for valuable repetition as the competition only gets tougher from here on out.
The total-yardage accounts do not agree. The notebook gives Greenbrier 284 yards, the game report gives 293, and the retained Hudl table gives 238. The notebook and report list Glencliff at minus-43 total yards; Hudl lists minus-25 total and minus-43 rushing. Those labels and differences stay attached to their sources on the game page.
Back to the road ahead
The Lawrence County preview shifts to quarterback Alex Carr, the Wildcats’ running options and a familiar Wing-T look. The recap had celebrated a useful night for the whole roster; the next region test would demand more. Lawrence County won 21–0, the result that frames the next recovered Homecoming opening.
