Seven straight to a title, then the Crockett Bowl
Greenbrier won its first seven, including shutouts of Gallatin Union and East Robertson and a 40–6 victory over White House. The opening run totaled 165–40.
Ashland City and Portland ended perfection. Hickman County—printed as Centerville on the school sheet—then won the Crockett Bowl 19–6 at Lawrenceburg. The school record is 7–3 and 185–84.
The independent schedule omits Greenbrier’s 12–7 Jo Byrns win and therefore totals 6–3 and 173–77. Hall profiles for Pearson and Jason White describe the Crockett Bowl as a win, but both surviving score lists record a Greenbrier loss.

The surviving records do not fully agree
The independent schedule omits Jo Byrns and totals 6–3. Hall profiles call the Crockett Bowl a win, but Greenbrier’s score list and the outside schedule both record a 19–6 loss.
