The source page moves directly from the entries filed under 1929 to an empty 1930 heading, then to two 1931 wins. That blank must stay visible: it tells us what the available score list does not contain, not whether a team existed.
Joe Henry Carter remains the coach attached to this season in Greenbrier’s coaching record. Separately, the Hall of Fame identifies him as the school’s first full-time coach of an eleven-man football team. Those coaching sources establish his role, but they do not supply a 1930 football schedule.
The Village Green gives the surrounding campus story. Carter’s 1929–30 boys basketball team went 24–3 and traveled by train to the state tournament; the 1930–31 basketball team went 18–2. That is school-athletics context—not substitute football evidence—and is kept in its proper lane here.

This is an evidence gap, not proof that Greenbrier did not field a team.
