The leading honor on the Tobacco Bowl team
The 1985 school honors record names Sanders first-team All-Mid-State and All-District 10-2A. The preseason had identified him as one of the senior group expected to reverse the 0–10 season.
The surviving reports show his range. He kicked two extra points at Macon County, three against Stewart County, rushed for 102 yards at Page and caught a 44-yard touchdown pass from Mike Mantlo in that 28–0 win. Greenbrier’s rushing record also gives him 119 yards against Goodlettsville.
