Greenbrier turns Homecoming into a 39-point night.
The Bobcats entered the week 2–4. They had opened with a win, endured a three-game losing streak and then shut out Houston County. Homecoming became the decisive night in the middle of that turnaround.
Greenbrier beat Stewart County 39–12. Freshman Derrick Lucas scored twice on the ground and once through the air. Jamie Poole completed five of 12 passes for 56 yards and two touchdowns.
The Bobcats later closed the season with wins over Harpeth and Portland, reaching 5–5. That made Homecoming both the largest scoring total of 1992 and the middle win in a four-victory finish over the final six games.
