William Lynn Pitt & Dwight Carroll
Greenbrier's William Lynn Pitt and Springfield's Dwight Carroll were 1966 graduates and United States Marines who lost their lives while serving in Vietnam. American Legion Post 45 and VFW Post 2120 established the Carroll–Pitt Trophy to honor their memory and friendship.
Curt Williams scored twice, Luke White kicked a 34-yard field goal and Greenbrier forced five turnovers. Roger Herndon's late interception sealed the two-point Bobcat win.
