GAME STORY / CONTEXT

2005 vs. Marshall Co.

The trip to Marshall County was a non-region game, but it carried a piece of program history. The previous week’s newspaper noted that Kirk Williams had tied Blue Howse at 57 wins atop Greenbrier’s coaching list; a win at Marshall County would move Williams alone into first at that point in the historical record.

Greenbrier won 20–14 in Lewisburg, its third straight victory after the season-opening loss. The clippings page provides setup and milestone context rather than a full Marshall County game recap.
