The defense held DeKalb County to minus-12 offensive yards in the first half and 58 total yards for the game, while the reserve unit played most of the second half. The win pushed Greenbrier’s region winning streak to 16 games dating to 2002.
In a September 3 game account, GreenbrierCat2 reported that Greenbrier scored within 54 seconds of the opening kickoff and within 55 seconds of the second-half kickoff. These are elapsed times into each half, not the lengths of the scoring plays.
