2005 vs. David Lipscomb
A week after the opening loss, Greenbrier won 12–7 over David Lipscomb in a rain-soaked home game. Lipscomb scored on its opening drive, but the Bobcat defense kept the Mustangs off the scoreboard the rest of the night.
The newspaper account highlights field-position swings, a forced fumble by Kyle Herndon and a fourth-quarter drive in which Greenbrier converted multiple third downs before running out the clock. It was Greenbrier’s second win over David Lipscomb in two seasons and the first victory of the 2005 campaign.
