2003 vs. Creek Wood
The preseason gave Greenbrier reason for optimism: in an unscored Westmoreland scrimmage, the contemporary story counted seven Bobcat touchdowns to two . The regular season was less tidy. Greenbrier opened with losses to Fort Campbell and David Lipscomb, beat Beech and Creek Wood, and then lost 10–7 to White House to sit at 2–3.
The early-season scrapbook also explains a major personnel shift. Roger Herndon began the year at quarterback and moved to tailback. A Creek Wood preview records 209 yards on 26 carries against David Lipscomb and 236 on 27 against Beech . The later 100-yard workbook omitted the Beech performance entirely; The contemporary source restores that performance to the season record.
Against Creek Wood, Herndon then ran for 204 yards on only eight carries with touchdown runs of 42, 73 and 9 yards in a 49–7 victory.
