The school game the report identifies clearly

Jere Baxter beat Greenbrier High 6–0 on its own field on Friday, October 26. The Tennessean described Jere Baxter as a two-year high school and called the victory its second of the season.

Megar, Bryan, Startup and Cartwright were the players praised in the brief report, all on Jere Baxter’s side. The item supplies neither Greenbrier’s lineup nor a touchdown sequence, so it cannot support a fuller scoring reconstruction.

Why October and November remain separate

This October account explicitly identifies Greenbrier High. A November report records a 39–12 Greenbrier win over Jere Baxter but describes the local eleven as an amateur team. That term alone does not settle whether it was the same school team.

The confirmed-school Jere Baxter series therefore includes this 6–0 loss. The November result remains visible with a team-identity qualification. A comparison of surnames in the October Duncan and November Jere Baxter lineups provides a useful lead, but does not establish individual identities.
