“We want to help you celebrate and recognize.”

The Voice of the Bobcats wasn’t born out of necessity. Everything that happens around here happens because of you. So, why are you the only one who should be aware? Why are you the only one that should celebrate successes? We want to help you celebrate and recognize.

Jim’s starting point was a familiar one: people were doing good things across Greenbrier, and too many of those stories stayed with the people who were already there. His proposal put consistency in communication and recognition at the center of the Bobcat brand.

Lifelong Bobcats, a growing broadcast

Both Kevin and I are lifelong Bobcats. From the ripe age of 5–6, learning the ropes in our Jr. Pro Football program, or hanging around the halls of Greenbrier High School at all hours of the day, week and months, we have ingrained ourselves into the culture and live, breathe and love Greenbrier.

The piece traces the expansion from home football PA duties into weekly varsity broadcasts and social coverage. It also remembers an experimental basketball broadcast effort and the families who were grateful to follow grandchildren when they could not attend.

The words that bring people together

The original writing connects #CardiacCats with comeback conversations around baseball and softball and #BrierBoys with Greenbrier baseball. It proposes shared school tags—#BrierBuilt, #FearTheG and #GoodToBeGreen—alongside sport-specific identities.

What if we put the information we all have into the hands of the masses?

The closing proposal calls for consistent information across sports, a shared media guide and recognition that reaches beyond one team or one game.

#BrierBuilt is more than just a catchy slogan. We are all Brier Built. Now we can show everyone what a united front will look like.
