The original “this week in Bobcat Sports” note is headed August 30–September 5. Its 2019 folder and document history establish the year. It is a small example of the coverage Jim was fitting around the football broadcast.
What was on the calendar
These were scheduled events in that week’s working rundown, rather than confirmed results.
- Volleyball: Springfield at home September 5.
- Girls soccer: Macon at home September 3, then East Robertson away September 5.
- Cross-country: the Voyles Classic at Hermitage August 31 and a Macon County meet September 3.
- Golf: matches at Legacy September 3 and 4, with Davidson Academy, Lebanon and Beech among the opponents.
Beyond the high school
The notes look ahead to a Greenbrier Middle School home game against Coopertown while mentioning an unresolved Springfield reschedule. Junior Pro’s first game is listed for September 7 at Cheatham County.
One page helps families follow several teams, age groups and places to be. The next football broadcast is already in view, but it is only one part of the week.
Next Friday were on the road at the HAWKS NEST at Creek Wood High School.
