1991 vs. Montgomery Central

The season itself moved in fits and starts. After the opening loss to Montgomery Central, Greenbrier beat Macon County 21–6. Cheatham County then shut the Bobcats out 22–0; the game story says Greenbrier was held under 100 yards of total offense and trailed 15–0 at halftime, while Steve Sorrells singled out Shannon Swatman, Adam Marlatt and Bernie Hudgens on defense.

Greenbrier later beat Houston County 21–7 and produced its largest win of the year with a 28–0 shutout of Stewart County . After the White House loss, the Bobcats beat Harpeth 9–6 before closing with Portland. Greenbrier’s records list two individual rushing performances: Jeff Ward went for 114 yards against Montgomery Central, and Jeff Hall ran for 102 against Stewart County.
