Duncan’s scoring and Greenbrier’s named players

Duncan school of Nashville won 47–0 at Greenbrier on October 5. The next day’s Tennessean described touchdowns in every quarter, with the visitors’ largest scoring period coming in the third.

The report singled out McMurty in Greenbrier’s backfield and Hackney and Dillard in the line. Its lineup places McMurty at right half, Hackney at right guard and Dillard at left guard. These are game-day identifications, not a complete season roster.

The October 5 football roundup already had Duncan traveling to Greenbrier. It calls the visitors S. T. Porter’s Longhorns. The surviving crop breaks off as the writer begins discussing buses, so it cannot establish a complete travel plan.
