Greenbrier had opened 1–4 before beating Macon County and shutting out Springfield. Livingston was the third game in a run that still needed one more win to secure the playoff path.

The comeback

Holder accounts for the finish

Greenbrier trailed 28–14 after three quarters. The scoring account gives Brandon Holder two touchdown passes, a touchdown run and the decisive two-point conversion with 2:55 remaining.

Jonathon McDade caught a 40-yard score and Bobby George caught the 29-yard tying touchdown. Holder then carried the winning conversion.

The recognition

AP Player of the Week

The follow-up item recognized Holder after two passing touchdowns, one rushing score and the deciding conversion. Greenbrier beat DeKalb County the next week to complete four straight wins.
