“The ‘Son’ still shines on Greenbrier”
A January 5, 2005 Robertson County Times retrospective remembered Williams as much more than a former athlete. The story traces his role in helping establish organized Little League baseball and early junior-pro football in Greenbrier, along with years of work supporting the facilities and organizations around local athletics.
His community involvement also included the Greenbrier Lions Club, Oak Hills Golf Course and the Greenbrier Athletic Club. The larger story is the infrastructure around the games: leagues, fields, volunteers and organizations that gave generations of Greenbrier athletes a place to compete.
